New Delhi: Former India captain Virat Kohli shared a heartfelt message for his long-time teammate Shikhar Dhawan following the announcement of his retirement from all forms of cricket on Saturday. The duo, who have been playing cricket together since their days in Delhi's age-group tournaments, went on to represent the Indian national team together, forming a strong bond on and off the field.

Describing Dhawan as one of the India’s most dependable openers, Kohli stated his trademark smile would e missed on the cricket field. “Shikhar @SDhawan25 from your fearless debut to becoming one of India’s most dependable openers, you’ve given us countless memories to cherish,” Kohli wrote on X.
