Rajasthan Royals (RR) Full Squad for IPL 2025 Mega Auction: Base Price, Age, Country, and Previous IPL Performances

Rajasthan Royals, often referred to as RR, is a professional cricket team that hails from Jaipur, Rajasthan and participates in the prestigious Indian Premier League (IPL). Established in 2008 as one of the founding members of the IPL, the team is under the ownership of Manoj Badale and The Royals Sports Group. The Royals call the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur their home ground, where they showcase their talent in front of enthusiastic fans. In addition to playing at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, they also host matches at ACA Stadium in Guwahati. The Royals are renowned for discovering hidden gems and nurturing promising talent within the cricketing world.

The team won the inaugural edition of the IPL under the captaincy of Shane Warne, despite being written off as a title contender by the media and fans. The Royals were also the runners-up of the 2013 Champions League Twenty20 under Rahul Dravid’s captaincy and the runners-up of the 2022 Indian Premier League under the captaincy of Sanju Samson and leadership of Kumar Sangakkara.

Ahead of the IPL 2025 Mega Auction, RR have retained five players – Sanju Samson (Rs 18 crore), Yashasvi Jaiswal (Rs 18 crore), Riyan Parag (Rs 14 crore), Dhruv Jurel (Rs 12 crore), Shimron Hetmyer (Rs 11 crore) and Sandeep Sharma (Rs 4 crore). They will have Rs 41 crore as their team purse in the auction after spending Rs 79 crore in their retentions.
